Title : - Mitral valve prolapse

It is usually asymptomatic.Found in 5% of children. The attacks are attributed to sterile emboli from thrombus originating either from the prolapsing leaflet or at its junction with atrial wall. The present problem of fever, cough & cold may be coincidental. I would suggest Echocardiography, RBC count, Hb electrophoresis to decide further. Please give information about x ray chest.
