Here important thing to look is that TLC is 4400, just above normal and neutrophils are just 23 per 100; that means - ANC is only 23x44 ~= 1000. This figure is far below 1500 that means there is neutropenia in the child. That signifies two cell lines are involved. Now question is what is the retic count? What is RBC count of the child? Is there a malignancy we are missing, or Apastic anemia we are dealing.
